MONASH Council did not fund legal representation for Cr Paul Klisaris in relation to his eligibility as a councillor in 2000. Under the Public Record Office local government disposal schedules, the council can destroy electoral nomination forms after a three-year period. The November 2005 election nomination forms were destroyed in December 2008 in accordance with Section 12 of the Public Records Act 1973. Any allegations of electoral fraud after an election are investigated by Local Government Victoria.
